Vocation Exploration
Our year-round vocational programs utilize the resources on our farm as platforms for participants to develop job skills. Our programs have an emphasis on supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as youth from nearby Atlantic City.
The Need
Individuals with developmental disabilities face a substantial gap in employment opportunities. Vocational training equips individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce. These skills can range from agricultural techniques and culinary arts to soft skills like communication and teamwork.
Vocational Training
Participants are introduced to the variety of roles we have available on the farm to gain skills in customer service, culinary arts, agriculture, animal care, botanical arts, and more. The skills they gain at the farm help them explore their interests to flourish in future jobs and in their personal lives.
Cultivating Careers
We host seasonal internships working within our farm’s departments–an opportunity that will help individuals bolster their resumes and provide them with employment experience. These internships are inclusive of people with developmental disabilities.
