Volunteer Opportunities at Reed's Farm
We have a limited amount of seasonal volunteer opportunities available in different areas of the farm's operations. They are detailed below:
We have a dedicated crew of volunteers who help care for our animals by spending quality time with them daily while brushing, feeding/watering, exercising, observing for medical needs, and cleaning their enclosures. All animal care volunteers must have experience working with farm animals and must be able to commit to two shifts per week.
We have volunteers who help our markets run smoothly by answering visitors' questions and engaging them in the mission of the farm. This is a great opportunity for volunteers with limited physical capabilities who want to help out on the farm.
We host limited seasonal volunteer opportunities on our farm, which can involve: seeding, transplanting, crop maintenance, harvesting, seasonal cleanup. Farm volunteer opportunities can be open to the community or experienced volunteers only, based on the task.
Our therapeutic horticulture programming may seek volunteer help for seasonal events or garden maintenance. Please indicate if you have any experience in educational or therapeutic fields.
Please note that volunteers must be over the age of 18, unless part of an organized group through a school, club, or other partnership.
