OUR MISSION AND VISION
Our mission is to revitalize our community by reconnecting people with animals and nature and provide access to fresh and nutrient-rich food, inclusive education, and workforce exploration opportunities. Our vision is to empower people to enrich their lives and community by bringing the land to life, bringing people to the land, and transforming both.

OUR APPROACH:
PEOPLE, PLANET, FOOD
Reed’s Farm centers its work around three connected pillars: people, planet, and food. Through hands-on programs, partnerships, and public experiences, the farm creates meaningful opportunities for people to engage with the land and build real skills. The land is cared for using regenerative and organic practices that restore soil health, support biodiversity, and strengthen the farm for the future. From this foundation, the farm grows fresh, nutrient-dense food that is shared through the market and local partnerships, helping expand access to healthy, locally produced food across Atlantic County.

THE 'WHY'
We invite you to picture what Atlantic County could look like if everyone had access to clean, nutrient-dense food, with the majority of it coming from local farms, fisheries, and producers. A strong local food system supports farmers, strengthens local economies, and reconnects communities with the land that sustains them.
Today, much of our food travels thousands of miles before reaching our tables, while many residents in our own region struggle to access fresh, healthy food at all. By building local infrastructure, like the food hub emerging in Atlantic City’s food desert, and by growing and distributing food close to home, Reed’s Organic Farm is helping demonstrate a different path forward, where nutritious food is accessible, affordable, and locally produced.
Reed’s Farm recognizes that food and farming are deeply connected to broader questions about how we value people and community. Through educational and vocational programming on the farm, especially for individuals and groups who are often overlooked, we create opportunities for people to engage with the land, learn meaningful skills, and contribute in ways that traditional systems may not recognize.
As a nonprofit, we are able to approach these challenges differently, questioning systems that have left people disconnected from nature, from food, and from each other. Our work is grounded in the belief that food is fundamental, that everyone deserves access to it, and that rebuilding a healthy food system can help restore the sense of connection and shared purpose that communities naturally crave. By supporting Reed’s Organic Farm, you help move our region closer to a future where local food, strong communities, and respect for both land and people are the foundation of everyday life.
