Seeds of Opportunity: Hard Rock Supports Garden Program for Club Kids

This month, we are especially grateful for the support of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, the seasonal sponsors of our garden program at the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City are champions of the Boys and Girls Club, and have generously sponsored our garden program for the Club Kids over multiple years. Their generosity enables us to offer free maintenance and education in the gardens shared by the Drexel and Teen Centers.

Our garden program with the Club Kids is central to our mission of providing access to nature and fresh food in Atlantic City. The vegetables grown at the Club's garden help supply their kitchen, which feeds hundreds of Club Kids daily. Teens in the culinary program use those same vegetables for their culinary education. Kids in the Drexel Club participate in weekly garden maintenance sessions, learning the joys and responsibilities associated with garden care. During the summer, Club Kids visit the farm to learn about sustainable agriculture and farm-to-table eating.
