Barista

Reeds is hiring a barista! Below is a list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet, prepare, service and take orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, professional & timely manner

  • Educating customers on our drink menu

  • Recommendations based on preferences

  • Prepare coffee, tea and other beverages

  • Clean equipment & coffee bar area

  • Calibration of grind & bean 

  • Maintenance of espresso coffee machine 

  • Receive and process payments

  • Maintain stock of clean mugs, cups, utensils, etc

  • Comply with health & safety regulation

  • Communicate customer feedback to manager(s)

  • Research and create new specialty drinks

  • Willingness to step in on a variety of market tasks as needed

Qualifications for barista: 

  • Previous experience in a barista role

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment

  • Great attention to detail 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time

  • Capacity to work well under pressure 

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to work various shifts and times, including weekends and early morning

  • Able to remain on your feet for duration of shift

  • Be able to carry merchandise of 40 lbs 

Compensation will be determined based on experience.
